Executive communication – from job catalog to job architecture and total rewards

Vitesco Technologies, which was spun off from Continental in 2020 and is headquartered in Regensburg, was integrated into the Schaeffler Group on October 1, 2024, under the motto “Stronger together.”

As part of the integration, one of the goals was to ensure that the transition of former Vitesco Technologies executives to the Schaeffler Group went as smoothly as possible. An expanded job catalog and a new joint job architecture — initially only for top-level positions — needed to be communicated in a clear and understandable manner. Top-level managers needed to gain clarity as quickly as possible about their level and total compensation packages with their new employer. They needed to be able to lead by example for a smooth integration.

Unequity supported the integration teams at Vitesco Technologies and the Schaeffler Group in designing a suitable communication strategy. The communication package included presentations with clear graphics and short, concise explanations, a PDF flyer with a glossary of key technical terms, and content for the new MySchaeffler intranet site. The media and content were prepared for the target group of HR multipliers, the works council, and the top-level executives of the integrated Schaeffler Group.
